I am also aware that there are workarounds for some of them, but since it isn't a main feature, it just gives me trouble with using it. So far, I have tried FreeCAD and have been having trouble with getting used to it and the missing features it has that Inventor had and regularly made use of. And as someone who won't be constantly online and offline for many months at a time, cloud/always online options won't work for me. I also don't want to go with any gray or flat out illegal means of obtaining said software. I liked it a lot, and wish to use it again, but don't want to support SaaS where similar calibers of software exists without the need of using a SaaS model to keep customers hooked. I have used Inventor years ago when I got a year long license in high school to make items in one of my classes. I just plan on doing a little bit of hobby work and also potentially making stuff to sell. I am not someone who plans to use the software often enough to justify the cost of choosing a SaaS option and would like one to buy and have around to pick up and put down without needing to worry about a subscription. I have checked the subreddit wiki, but it doesn't do a very good job at showing one time payment options on the spot (or if there is, it really needs to be shown a lot better tbh). I was looking around for some CAD software that is only a one time payment and have been having a hard time finding one. ![]()
